We believe that health care isn’t only about treating symptoms. But rather, it’s about what makes a person whole. We dedicate ourselves to care. Every day. For everyone.
Our doctors, nurses, practitioners and specialists are experts in their fields. You are the expert on you. Together, we collaborate to achieve your health and wellness goals.
Your care team includes health professionals who combine their expertise in specific areas to provide you with the best possible plan for your health and wellness. They work together — and with you — empowering you to be the leader in your health care is one of their goals.
Your care team may include your primary care provider, a medical assistant, a registered nurse care manager, a pharmacist, a registered dietitian/certified diabetes educator, a psychiatric mental health practitioner and a mental health counselor. If you are interested in meeting with one of your care team members, ask your primary care provider.
Salem Health has two hospitals, two urgent care clinics, and primary care clinics throughout Marion and Polk counties. No matter where you live in the mid-Willamette Valley, care is close to home.
MyChart gives Salem Health patients free, secure, online access to their medical record and more. Online or through the app, MyChart lets you:
Your account is free and available 24/7. Sign up here.
Get medical advice from the comfort of your own home through your MyChart account. If you have allergies, cold/flu, cough, headaches/migraines or a sore throat, virtual care may be a good way for you to get the care you need without going to an office.

Not sure if you need to come in? Get advice from a Salem Health nurse. They can assess your needs and symptoms over the phone to help you decide if you can treat yourself at home, need to make an appointment at a clinic or need more urgent treatment.
Call your provider's clinic and ask to speak with a nurse.
We help make seeing a specialist easy. Need neurology, cardiology, gynecology or sleep medicine care? Your provider can refer you to specialists in several fields who are part of the Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics health system so that your experience is as seamless as possible. Your primary care clinic will show you where to go and how to get in contact with the providers you need to see.
Visit our urgent care clinic in Salem (next to the hospital) or in Woodburn (near the outlet mall). Our clinics can treat your immediate, non-emergency health concerns. Learn more about urgent care here.
If you need to see a specialist, your primary care team will make the referral and help coordinate the transfer of necessary medical information.
We will continue to manage your overall care and work with the specialist to make sure your health care needs are being met.
Medication safety is one of our chief concerns. Our providers carefully review prescription refills and may want to speak to you before authorizing a refill.
Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance when canceling an appointment. If you miss three (3) appointments without contacting us, you may be dismissed from our practice.
Insurance and payment
We accept most insurance plans — including Medicaid and OHP. Copayments, coinsurance and deductibles are required to be paid at the time of service.
For those who prefer self-pay, we offer a discount when payment is made in full at the time of service. Billing for laboratory, radiology and other testing services will be made through Salem Health or the outside provider of your choice.
Patients who don’t have insurance are welcome at Salem Health medical clinics. You will be asked to pay a deposit for the cost of services before your appointment and will be responsible for the total cost of your care. If you are unable to pay a deposit, you may qualify for assistance. Dial 211 on any phone or visit 211.org to be connected to community resources.
When you need to make an appointment or talk with a member of your health care team, call your clinic or email us through your MyChart account.
