Salem Clinic hospitalists to join Salem Health Medical Group

Details still coming for smooth transition

On Friday, Feb. 25, Salem Clinic shared its intent to dissolve its hospitalist team. Given this change, Salem Health will partner with Salem Clinic to transition the program to the Salem Health Medical Group.

As with any business transaction, there are numerous details, and many are confidential. Salem Health met with the Salem Clinic adult hospitalist team on March 2. We anticipate that many of the Salem Clinic hospitalists will accept employment with Salem Health Medical Group. Our goal is for a smooth transition. We will continue to keep you up to date as this evolves. Our first priority is a seamless transition for patients and our community of clinicians.

Salem Clinic and Salem Health Medical Group have strong ties. We serve many of the same patients, and share the mission to improve the health and well-being of the people and communities we serve. While change, particularly unexpected change, takes time and energy to work through, we are delighted at the great opportunity to continue to keep care local and maintain important services for our community.
