Salem Health Cancer Institute is designated by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers as a nationally-accredited breast center. 

Patients receiving care at an accredited center can count on comprehensive, state-of-the-art services, a multi-disciplinary approach to coordinated care, information about clinical trials and new treatment options. 

Salem Health Cancer Institute first received designation in 2010 and was most recently accredited in October 2023, for a fifth consecutive time. Surveys are conducted every three years with the next one scheduled for October 2026.
