Scholarships for employees, volunteers and community members

The Salem Health Foundation and Salem Health West Valley Foundation have combined efforts with the Salem Health Projects Committee.

The foundations' scholarship programs began in 1968. Since then, it has awarded more than $3 million in scholarships. That figure includes 75 students from our community who received $156,000 in scholarships for the 2018-19 academic year.

The Projects Committee also has a rich history of supporting students for over 25 years.

Eligibility criteria for applicants:

  • Currently pursuing a career in the health care industry.
  • Must reside in Marion or Polk County if you do not meet the special considerations outlined below.

Special consideration for current Salem Health:

  • Employees or immediate family members of current employees.
  • Volunteers with more than 60 volunteer hours.

Scholarships have already been awarded for the 2019-2020 school year.
