Bio
Dr. Nervin Fanous (she/her) earned her bachelor’s degree in French language and literature from the University of Virginia, and her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. She began her surgical training at Tulane University in New Orleans, and completed her residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan before completing her cardiothoracic and aortic fellowships at Indiana University. She also received advanced training in critical care medicine, completing her fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, and holds board certifications in general surgery, surgical critical care and thoracic surgery. She has been actively practicing for over a decade and joined Salem Health Medical Group in February 2015. Beyond medicine, her other interests include the study of foreign languages and travel.
