Bio
Jerrod Mitzel, MD, is a dedicated physician who has traversed continents in pursuit of medical excellence. He earned his undergraduate degree at Willamette University in Salem, then ventured to Hungary to attend Albert Szent-Gyorgyi Medical University. His journey continued with internship and residency training at Mount Carmel in Ohio before returning to Oregon. Dr. Mitzel chose to practice medicine close to home, driven by a passion for science and a genuine desire to work directly with people. As a family physician, he values the art of listening and being fully present with his patients as he believes that understanding his patients' concerns is paramount to providing comprehensive and compassionate care - an approach he would want for himself as a patient. When he's not assisting patients, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
