Heather E. Hoops, MD

Bio
Dr. Heather Hoops (she/her) grew up in Colorado and earned her medical degree from the University of Iowa, then completed her fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center before moving to Oregon in 2013. Prior to coming to Salem Health, she worked as a trauma and acute care surgeon and surgical intensivist at a Level I trauma center in Portland. Along with her primary practice, she has special interests in hernia repair, trauma and acute care surgery, and critical care. When not caring for patients, she enjoys spending time traveling, watching sports and being outdoors with her family.
