Talk with a Doc: Heart failure, TAVR and Watchman — Wednesday, Feb. 13
Attend one of these free interactive sessions with our doctors!
Kaiser Permanente cardiologist Priya Kansal, MD, will share the latest discoveries about heart failure and how to keep your heart healthy; 9 to 10 a.m. in Creekside Overflow.
From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Dr. Raghu Kamineni will explain TAVR, transcatheter aortic valve replacement. This approach delivers a fully collapsible replacement valve to the valve site through a catheter.
Cascade Cardiology electrophysiologist Ashit Patel, MD, will talk about the latest advancement to prevent stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation — the tiny Watchman implant; 3 to 4 p.m. in CHEC classrooms 1 - 2.
Heart-healthy Cooking — Wednesday, Feb. 20
Learn and taste several recipes to satisfy your appetite while protecting your heart. Come hungry and ready to learn; 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the CHEC’s Gehlar Wellness Kitchen. Cost is $15. Register online at salemhealth.org/chec or call 503-814-CHEC (2432).
