The West Valley Hospital Foundation’s 13th annual Moonlight and Vines Gala, held in August at BeckenRidge Vineyard in Dallas, netted just under $47,000 — breaking all previous fundraising records.

Proceeds from this event, which included a gourmet dinner, dancing and a silent auction, will be used to support scholarships for students pursuing healthcare careers, the Connections van that provides rides to and from the hospital for patients needing transportation, and hospital equipment. Last year’s event netted just under $40,000.

"It's gratifying that year after year so many people support this event which helps keep our local community hospital strong,” said Foundation board and gala chair, Carrie Casebeer.

The event’s Presenting Sponsor was Spirit Mountain Casino, and Gold sponsors were Capitol Auto Group, Meduri Farms and Turner Construction.

Silver sponsors were Alliant Systems; Robert & Lori Brannigan; Dallas Retirement Village; James W. Fowler Affiliates; Donna & John Graham; CB|Two Architects; Salem Heart Center; Lane & Francine Shetterly; Darin & Lisa Silbernagel; Western Partitions and West Coast Bank, Dallas Branch.
