Designated by the GO2 for Lung Cancer, screening centers of excellence meet the standards of the American College of Radiology, the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and International Early Lung Cancer Action Program. These standards are for controlling screening quality, radiation dose and diagnostic procedures within an experienced, multi-disciplinary clinical setting. Designees also commit to provide clear, current information on who is a candidate for lung cancer screening.

Salem Health first received the distinction in 2015, then again in 2018, 2023, 2025 and now 2026.
