Salem Health Palliative Care is pleased to expand inpatient care to include Sundays, beginning April 5.
Sunday coverage includes one physician and one RN or social worker, allowing for more timely initiation of consults and reducing gaps in symptom management support.
Our existing process remains unchanged: The team will continue daily triage, with symptom management prioritized above all other consult needs.
As a reminder, please don’t promise or document a specific meeting day or time unless it has been formally scheduled by the Palliative Care Team. Doing so can unintentionally create conflict and undermine the supportive role we aim to provide.
