We are pleased to share that the Patient Advocate job title has been updated to Patient Liaison.
The title Patient Liaison more accurately reflects the collaborative nature of the role, which focuses on bringing patients, families, providers and care team members together to foster understanding, facilitate communication and support timely resolution of concerns.
While the title is changing, our commitment to exceptional service is not. Patients, families, providers and healthcare team members will continue to receive the same responsive support and partnership they have come to expect.
Patient Liaisons serve as trusted partners in addressing patient and family concerns, facilitating communication, supporting the review and resolution of complaints and grievances and helping ensure patients understand their rights and responsibilities. The team works collaboratively with providers, clinical staff, and operational leaders to promote respectful dialogue, strengthen relationships and support fair and timely resolution of concerns.
We recognize that providers play a critical role in patient experience, and our Patient Liaison team remains committed to partnering with you to address concerns, enhance communication and support positive outcomes for patients and families.
Over the coming months, you will begin to see the Patient Liaison title reflected in updated marketing, educational and communication materials across the organization.
