Marc Sunday, DO, is WVH president-elect nominee

Ballots will be sent after 30 days

As defined in our Medical Staff Bylaws, candidates for the Medical Staff president-elect position are selected by a Nominating Committee that includes the WVH Medical Staff president, Medical Staff president-elect and up to three past presidents.

The WVH Nominating Committee is grateful for the interest and support of medical staff members interested in serving our community. After careful consideration, the committee recommends Marc Sunday, DO, to the Medical Staff as the candidate for president-elect. Per the WVH Medical Staff Bylaws, this notification will be posted for 30 days, then ballots will be sent to active and associate Medical Staff members for voting. 

The president-elect’s term starts after approval by active and associate Medical Staff and continues through Dec. 31, 2026, when the individual becomes president.

• Active member of the West Valley Hospital Medical Staff March 2026
• Current Medical Staff president-elect for Salem Hospital
• Primary Care Department Chair and Member of the Medical Executive Committee (2018 to December 2020)
• Medical Staff president-elect and member of the Medical Executive Committee (January to December 2021)
• Medical Staff president and chair of the Medical Executive Committee (January 2022 to December 2023)
• Medical Staff president-elect (Jan. 1, 2026, to present)
