Interval H&P workflow enhancements start Sept. 15

Create using Progress, Consult Notes and attach to case

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 15, you can create an Interval H&P using Progress Notes and Consult Notes. The note needs to contain all the required chart elements and be less than 30 days old per Medical Staff rules. The attached document will then be available in the Interval H&P section of the Preop navigator. 

Scanned H&Ps can now be attached to the surgical case and will be available in both Interval H&P and Procedure Pass workflows.

• The H&P Update note type is being deprecated because it is not linked to the surgical case.
• The Update H&P section in the navigator will be renamed Interval H&P to maintain naming consistency.
• Use a progress note in the hospital admission chart if you need to document prior to the day of surgery (i.e. coordinated surgical plans with imaging, etc.)
