What: Admitting and transferring providers must select a “Service” when placing Admission, Discharge and Transfer (ADT) orders in Epic starting Tuesday, Sept. 9.
Why: This change streamlines the admission process and improves patient care. It was developed from problem-solving in the Nursing Rapid Improvement Event (RIE).
Action items: Follow the new guidelines below when selecting a “Service” to ensure a smooth transition. Changes begin Tuesday, Sept. 9. See tip sheet here.
