Action required: Scan new QR codes to access Haiku and Canto apps now

April 5, 2026

Ensure uninterrupted access

By: G. Andrew Clarke, MD, FACS, Chief Medical Information Officer

To ensure uninterrupted access to your current Haiku (mobile) and Canto (iPad) apps, all providers must scan the new QR codes available in Epic (F1 dashboard). The Informatics Team can assist you. You do not need to download or update the Haiku or Canto apps, you only need to scan the new QR codes, which will redirect your existing Haiku and Canto apps to the new Epic-hosted servers. There will be a grace period until April 8, but we encourage you to scan the QR code as soon as possible to avoid interruptions to your workflow.

Action steps:

  1. Log into Epic.
  2. Press F1 to open your learning home dashboard.
  3. Locate the Haiku and Canto QR codes at the top section.
  4. Scan the QR codes with your mobile device.
  5. Follow the prompts to adjust your current Haiku and Canto apps.

Important:

  • Do not search for Haiku or Canto in the App Store or Google Play.
  • The QR codes are required to install the correct, updated applications.
  • If you do not install the new version, Haiku will no longer function on your device.
