To support a healthy environment for patients, visitors and staff, all Salem Health facilities are smoke-free, including sidewalks and parking areas. Nurses will not take patients outside to smoke and hospital equipment cannot be taken outside.
The use of e-cigarettes is also prohibited.
If you smoke, we can make your stay more comfortable with coping techniques. You can purchase over-the-counter nicotine gum and patches from our pharmacy in Building C and nicotine gum in the Building A gift shop. Smoking cessation counseling is also
available through our Community Health Education Center.
