Cheryl is responsible for making sure that the day-to-day business operations of Salem Health run smoothly and efficiently so that patients and families have positive interactions when they visit. Most of the hospital’s departments and services ultimately report to Cheryl.

Areas reporting to this position include Adult Health services, Critical Care services, Trauma and Emergency services, Women’s and Children’s services, Pharmacy, Lab, Imaging, Nutrition and Food services, Environmental Services, and the Community Health Education Center (CHEC).

Leah serves as the liaison responsible for supporting the integration of Kaizen principles to improve quality and safety for patients at Salem Health. Kaizen is a Japanese term meaning continuous improvement. Leah also oversees patient safety, employee health, risk management, project management and peer review support.
