John came to Salem Hospital after retiring from Ozarks Technical Community College in Missouri, where he taught physical therapy assistants.
A lifetime member of the American Physical Therapy Association, John received the 2008 award for Service to the Profession from the Missouri chapter.
John is a graduate of the physical therapy program at the University of Missouri. ("Go Mizzou!").
He served patients in many settings, including 27 years as a physical therapist for high school sport teams. He owned a rehabilitation agency with four clinics. John’s clinical interests are manual therapy and pain science.
He is completing a doctor of physical therapy at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore. John spends most of his free time with his wife of 37 years.
Fly fishing brought John to Oregon, but organic gardening is his passion. He enjoys fine music, fine food and a perfect cast on the McKenzie River.
