Bio
Dr. Maalouf is an interventional cardiologist who specializes in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. He received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in Lebanon, then completed his internship and residency in internal medicine. He continued his education and training with a fellowship in cardiology and interventional cardiology, followed by an additional year of training focused on structural heart disease, at the Lankenau Hospital in Penn Wynne, Pennsylvania. His desire to help his patients resume their normal lives as quickly as possible led him to train in performing procedures from the wrist, a technique that shortens recovery time and is better tolerated by patients. He also has special interest in structural heart disease and is fellowship trained to perform various percutaneous procedures including: transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Watchman implant and ASD/PFO closure. In his free time, Dr. Maalouf enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, as well as cooking and running.
