Bio
Dr. Mark Jones attended medical school at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He completed his internship and general surgery residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU). He then completed a fellowship in vascular surgery also at OHSU. Dr. Jones has been in private practice in Grants Pass, Oregon with Grants Pass Surgical Associates where he worked with general surgery residents as part of the rural surgery program affiliated with OHSU. In 2019, he was awarded the John G. Hunter Distinguished Alumnus Award for the OHSU Department of Surgery. In his free time, he enjoys rafting with his wife, running, woodworking, metalworking and restoring vintage cars.
Interests
As part of a comprehensive approach to caring for vascular surgery patients, Dr Jones has a special interest in risk factor modification including smoking cessation, diet, exercise, and medical optimization for diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, and hypertension.
