Marion County (State Fairgrounds)
Step 1: Confirm you are eligible
Thank you for choosing to be vaccinated for COVID-19. Together, we can beat this virus!
To be eligible at this time you must:
EXCEPTION: Marion County Health Department received a waiver that allows us to also vaccinate K-12 teachers and school personnel, and early learning employees, including child care, for those who live or work in Marion County. If you work for Salem-Keizer School District, you are considered Marion County, regardless of the location of the school building where you work.
Anyone who arrives to be vaccinated will be asked to attest to their eligibility. You may be asked to show work ID.
Bring your insurance cards, as insurance will be billed for the
administration of the vaccine. There is no out-of-pocket cost to you.
Step 2: Complete paperwork
Before you can receive your first dose of vaccine, you must complete all of the required paperwork.
Option 1: Complete the paperwork with MyChart (preferred method)
To complete the paperwork, you first need to let us know you’re coming. Follow these instructions to complete the process using MyChart.
Please make sure your personal and insurance information are up-to-date. We recommend completing the paperwork before coming to the fairgrounds.

Paper options are available onsite, but
will significantly increase your wait time. If you are unable to complete the paperwork before arriving, you will be provided with a packet to complete in your vehicle before you will be allowed to enter the vaccination location.
Step 3: Report to the fairgrounds
The vaccine clinic will operate at the Jackman Long Building at the Oregon State Fair and Expo Center, 2330 17th St NE, Salem.
Enter from Silverton Road on the north end of the fairgrounds. From there, you will be directed by flaggers to a screening area and parking.
The line often extends outside. While there are tents to protect you from the rain, there are no heaters at this time. Please dress accordingly! Be sure to wear a shirt that gives access to your upper arm — and don't forget to wear your
mask.

Step 4: Get your second dose
You must return for your second dose within 21 to 28 days after the first dose for the vaccine to be effective. Without the follow-up dose, the first is not effective and is essentially a wasted vaccine. Because there is a very limited supply of doses,
the Oregon Health Authority is imploring people to get their second dose. We cannot afford any wasted vaccines.
Salem Health intends to continue operating vaccine clinics until all of the state of Oregon is vaccinated. Plan on returning to the same location for your second dose unless Salem Health announces a change.
