Express Yourself

There are three espresso and refreshment centers at Salem Hospital featuring Starbucks® coffee. Food selections include salads, sandwiches, desserts, snacks, and beverages.

Room service meals and snacks

Our award winning food service has been in the Press Ganey top ten in the nation for 2012. Patients call 1-FOOD (1-3663) to place their food order selecting foods from a room service menu, and within an average of 10-15 minutes they are enjoying a delicious made to order meal. Eat what you want, and when you want to eat it.

There is no added charge for patient meals—they are included in the price of your stay.

You’ll notice we also provide gluten-free and vegan choices. Room Service is available from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Check with your nurse about food options after 7:30 p.m.

Family and visitors can also enjoy a meal in the room with their family members by ordering through room service as well.

Dining gift cards

Gift cards are available to purchase food or beverages at any Salem Hospital food outlet.

When you purchase a gift card for $20, you receive $22 dollars worth of purchase value (which amounts to a 10% discount).

You can purchase a gift card at a cash register in any Salem Hospital nutrition outlet.

The gift cards can not be used to purchase items for patients.

The cards can be purchased at one outlet and used at another. They can not, however, be purchased or relinquished at West Valley Hospital.
